Paris here's how this book came to be: kaie and jon are friends. jon runs into kaie and informs her that he is going to author eat.shop paris. kaie informs jon she's not quite ready for paris, as at that time there were only eat.shop's for portland, seattle and austin—paris doesn't seem the obvious choice for the next title. jon stalks kaie. kaie avoids jon. jon announces one day he is going to paris again (where he seems to know half of the denizens of the city) and he will take no for an answer no longer. kaie relents. the title becomes a cult hit, with jon gaining a fan club worldwide even though he's a stalker. and though we are completely sold out of the first edition, the second edition is in production (if you are in paris in november, see if you can spot jon) and will be published may 2010.
