New Orleans in late august of 2005, agnes was getting ready to head to new orleans to begin work on a nola title. then katrina hit. we watched, along with the rest of the world, as this legendary city drowned. but in the midst of disaster, hope rose quickly and the city fought to stay afloat. in the spring of 2007, marianne the co-author of austin called up kaie and recommended her friend bonnie to author the book. as a fifth generation new orleanian, she had a story to tell and she signed her photographer husband dave on to help her do just that, and some of their good friends to add their voices. laissez les bon temps roulez!
