Aren’t shots always kind of trippy and interesting? You bet it is!
If you manage to mix a cocktail that is shot-worthy, meaning if it is able to give you the zing that you normally expect out of a shot, then it is definitely a regular in your home parties.
Ideally, a shot recipe is unique and not something related to a regular cocktail. But there are several shot drinks that are just a variation of their cocktail parents.
Let us see some interesting, albeit simple shots that you can make at home and include in your house parties.
Lemon Drop Shots:
One of the most basic and very simple-to-make cocktail shots, this shot is not just easy to make, but easy to drink as well. The most commonly used shots in bars and parties, Lemon Drop shots use Vodka, Lemon Juice and Sugar. That’s it!
Ingredients: Vodka, Sugar (or simple syrup), Fresh Lemon Juice
What happens when you mix Apple Cider with liquor? What? Doesn’t it sound strange?
But I bet it is going to give you thrills! Just try mixing Fireball with Apple Cider and Apple Schnapps. The drink is going to get you out of your bed!
Ingredients: Fireball Whiskey, Apple Schnapps, Hard Apple Cider, Pineapple Juice
What a lovely name! The drink looks even more fantastic, in its bright orange colors. All you need is just Amaretto, Orange Juice and Sloe Gin. I must warn you! This is a little hard shot, but you can just Slam it, if you have the will!
Ingredients: Amaretto, Sloe Gin, Southern Comfort Liqueur, Orange Juice
Yet another brilliantly made and appealing to the eye drink, this shot doesn’t have any liquor, but quite a few liqueurs. You will love this one for its taste though!
Ingredients: Irish Cream, Banana Liqueur, Blue Curacao
A fascinating drink, not for its contents, rather for the different ways of drinking this.
Just have a lager beer and a blended Whiskey, and drink them however you want – like a bomb, or a chaser or a cocktail or alternating sips.
Imagination is the only limit!
Ingredients: Blended Whiskey, Lager Beer
Fourth of July Shooter:
A classic way of representing the national flag. Hmmm, well, you will definitely love this layered shot to drink as much as you like to see it.
Ingredients: Vodka, Blue Curacao, Grenadine
One of my personal favorites, Grasshopper is equally pleasing on the throat as much as it does it on our eyes. Do you like Mint Chocolate? Then you would definitely love this one.
Ingredients: Green Creme de Menthe, Creme de Cacao, Light Cream
Who names these Cocktails? They just keep coming out like in a Magical fantasy movie. This Polar Bear cocktail shot is similar to Grasshopper, with Peppermint and Chocolate flavors.
Ingredients: Creme de Cacao, Peppermint Schnapps
